Adyen provides a range of features to help optimize the payment experience for your shoppers. You can find an introduction to key features below.
For subscription and recurring business models, enabling your shoppers to pay seamlessly is crucial to sustainable growth.
A recurring contract is a set of one or more recurring payment details linked to a unique shopper on your merchant account. Adyen divides recurring payments into two types: shopper present transactions (also known as one-click payments), where the shopper needs to enter their CVC code, and shopper not present transactions, in which the shopper allows the merchant to deduct an agreed amount from the bank account or credit card at a pre-defined timeframe.
Adyen allows you to payout third-parties. A payout requires a 4 eye policy check, where one user initiates the payout, before it is confirmed and executed by another user.
Account Updater is a service that enables businesses to automatically update their customers’ stored card details. It is known under different names depending on the scheme: Visa’s solution is called Visa Account Updater (VAU), and Mastercard refers to their service as the Automatic Billing Updater (ABU).
