User roles determine what a user can do in the Balance Platform Customer Area. As the Merchant Admin user, you can create users for other people in your organization.
To assign different roles to your users, you must first request them from your Adyen contact for your own Merchant Admin user. You can only assign roles that your own user already has.

| BalancePlatform Merchant Admin | The user has access to all resources in your platform. |
| BalancePlatform Merchant Read-only Admin | The user has read-only access to all resources in your platform. |
| Bank Backoffice Payments View | The user has read-only access to transfers. |
| BalancePlatform Manage Hosted Onboarding | The user can create, edit, and manage hosted onboarding themes. |
| Balance Platform Merchant Balance Sweep Configuration role | The user can create and manage sweep configurations. |
| Balance Platform Initiate Transfer Role | The user can transfer funds. |
