Klarna Debit Risk is a payment method offered by Klarna, primarily for high-risk segments, that allows customers to pay directly from their bank accounts. This service enables merchants in specific sectors to accept Klarna's customer base using a bank-transfer solution. There are key differences between Klarna Debit Risk and Klarna Pay Now: * Klarna Pay Now offers direct debit and online banking as funding sources. This is a guaranteed setup, which means that Klarna takes the non-settlement risk on these payments - although shopper-initiated chargebacks could happen. * Klarna Debit Risk offers online banking as the only funding method. This is a non-guaranteed setup, which means that there might be [chargebacks](#chargebacks) due to non-settlement which cannot be defended against. | Payment type | Payment flow | Countries | Currencies | [Recurring](/online-payments/tokenization) | [Refunds](/online-payments/refund) | [Partial refunds](/online-payments/refund/#refund-a-payment) | [Multiple partial refunds](/online-payments/refund) | [Separate captures](/online-payments/capture) | [Partial captures](/online-payments/capture/#partial-capture) | [Multiple partial captures](/online-payments/capture/#multiple-partial-captures) | [Chargebacks](/risk-management/chargeback-guidelines) | | -------------- | ------------ | ------------------ | ---------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Online Banking | redirect | AT, BE, DE, NL, ES | EUR | ![checkmark](/user/data/smileys/emoji/white_check_mark.png) See note | ![checkmark](/user/data/smileys/emoji/white_check_mark.png) | ![checkmark](/user/data/smileys/emoji/white_check_mark.png) | ![checkmark](/user/data/smileys/emoji/white_check_mark.png) | ![x](/user/data/smileys/emoji/x.png) | ![x](/user/data/smileys/emoji/x.png) | ![x](/user/data/smileys/emoji/x.png) | ![checkmark](/user/data/smileys/emoji/white_check_mark.png) See note | ## Supported countries/regions | Country/region | `countryCode` | `amount.currency` | | --------------- | ------------- | ----------------- | | Austria | AT | EUR | | Belgium | BE | EUR | | Germany | DE | EUR | | Spain | ES | EUR | | The Netherlands | NL | EUR | ## Chargebacks In rare scenarios (typically less than 0.2% of all cases), it is possible that you do not receive the funds even after receiving a successful `AUTHORISATION` webhook. The successful `AUTHORISATION` webhook means that the payment has passed the verifications that the issuer and Klarna Debit Risk run on the shopper account, and that the bank transfer was initiated successfully. However, the payment can still fail due to blocks in place on the issuer side. Banks might block funds due to various processes on their side that are related to risk and/or AML. Typically, banks do not share much information about such cases. In these cases, Adyen will book the transaction as a chargeback and you will receive a `CHARGEBACK` webhook. ## How do you want to integrate?
