# PromptPay

PromptPay is an online banking payment method in Thailand, developed and regulated by the Bank of Thailand (BoT). You show the shopper a QR code that they can use to pay with their choice of app from participating banks. The shopper either scans the QR code using their app or uploads a screenshot of the QR code.

To transfer funds between banks, users are identified through proxies such as mobile phone number, national identification number, corporate registration number, or digital wallet number.

Adyen only offers PromptPay integration for QR code payments.
