# Transfer funds internally

Manage funds within your balance platform.

The simplest way to fund your balance account is to configure your Adyen balance account as your settlement account. Additionally, sweeps can be configured to make sure your funds on a specified balance account will never drop below a certain amount as an extra safety measure. This feature helps you when you want to transfer funds from one of your balance accounts to another balance account.

You can initiate internal funds transfers in two ways:
