[View source](/platforms/payment-methods.md) To start processing payments for your users, you must configure the payment methods they can accept during the [onboarding process](/platforms/onboard-users/onboarding-steps). Adyen's platform supports a wide range of global and local card payment methods with a single integration. If you onboarded your users using the [onboarding on invite](/platforms/onboard-users?tab=1#onboarding-on-invite), they already have their [default payment methods](/platforms/onboard-users#default-pm) configured. You can request additional payment methods in your [Customer Area](https://ca-test.adyen.com/) or using the [Management API](https://docs.adyen.com/api-explorer/Management/latest/overview).
