[View source](/point-of-sale/installments.md) Paying in installments is a popular form of credit card purchase in some countries/regions. Shoppers receive goods or services immediately, but split the cost into multiple monthly payments. These payments are charged to the shopper's credit card every 30 days until their purchase has been paid in full. The installments payment flow is a bit different in every country/region. In some countries/regions, like Brazil and Mexico, shoppers use *combo* cards which work as both a debit and a credit card, so they first need to choose between making a debit or a credit payment. In countries/regions like Japan, however, shoppers can choose between different installment types. One example is the *revolving* payment, where shoppers make an initial partial payment, and split the remaining amount into installments. ## Select your country/region of business ###### [Brazil](/point-of-sale/installments/brazil-installments) [Flag the payment as debit or credit, and make credit card installment payments in Brazil.](/point-of-sale/installments/brazil-installments) ###### [Japan](/point-of-sale/installments/japan-installments) [Make credit card installment payments in Japan.](/point-of-sale/installments/japan-installments) ###### [Mexico](/point-of-sale/installments/mexico-installments) [Flag the payment as debit or credit, and make credit card installment payments in Mexico.](/point-of-sale/installments/mexico-installments)
