{"title":"One-time password","category":"default","creationDate":1554725580,"content":"<h2>New terminal<\/h2>\n<p>The Customer Area will generate one-time passwords for your new terminal as soon as you assign it to a specific store.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow the instructions to <a href=\"\/point-of-sale\/managing-terminals\/assign-terminals\">assign your new terminal<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Already assigned terminal<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Log in to your Customer Area:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For a live terminal, go to <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-live.adyen.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">your live Customer Area<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>For a test terminal (your terminal's home screen says \"Test\") go to <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-test.adyen.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">your test Customer Area<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Go to <strong>In-person payments<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Payment devices<\/strong>, and select the <strong>Terminals<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Search for the terminal by serial number.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sc-notice info\"><div>\n<p>The terminal serial number is shown:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On the underside of the terminal. Example: <em>S\/N:123-456-789<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>On the second line of the info screen. Example: <em>V400m-123456789<\/em>.<br \/>\nTo open the info screen, press <strong>5<\/strong> and then the <strong>Confirm<\/strong> button. On some models, it is <strong>Confirm<\/strong> and then <strong>5<\/strong> or both buttons at the same time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click on the row of your terminal to view the terminal detail page.<br \/>\nThe password is shown at the top, in the <strong>One time password<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>If you cannot find the terminal in the Customer Area<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>You are in the TEST Customer Area while you should be in LIVE, or vice versa.<\/li>\n<li>The number you entered was not the terminal serial number.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>You do not have the required user role in the Customer Area.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sc-notice info\"><div>\n<p>To access one-time passwords, you need to have the Merchant POS Terminal Management <a href=\"\/account\/user-roles\">user role<\/a>.
