Usually, the cause is that the terminal has an incorrect configuration.<\/p>\n<h2>First solution: Reboot the terminal<\/h2>\n<p>To reboot the terminal, either:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Turn off the terminal, then turn it on again.<\/li>\n<li>On tethered terminals (without battery), <a href=\"\/point-of-sale\/pos-troubleshooting\/terminal-turns-on\/admin-pin\">open the Admin menu<\/a> and select <strong>Reboot<\/strong>, or disconnect and reconnect the power cord.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Second solution: Update or remove the configuration<\/h2>\n<p>If after rebooting the terminal goes into service mode again or starts a boot loop:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Try to open the <strong>Admin<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Config<\/strong> menu, and update or remove the configuration.<br \/>\nIf you removed the configuration, you need to board the terminal again.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Return or replace the terminal<\/h2>\n<p>If it is not possible at all to access the <strong>Admin<\/strong> menu and the terminal remains in service mode or in a boot loop, you cannot use the terminal anymore.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow the instructions to <a href=\"\/point-of-sale\/managing-terminals\/order-terminals#return-or-replace-terminals\">return the terminal to Adyen<\/a>.<br \/>\nIf you need a new terminal, you can place a sales order for a new one.
