We're pleased to announce a new iOS library that makes integration with our Payment Terminals quicker and easier.\u00a0<\/p>\n

New functionality<\/h2>\n

TXStore to record transaction details on a payment device for later retrieval<\/h3>\n

The TxStore allows a POS to retrieve all details from a previous transaction. For example receipts, or final state. This is allows a POS to recover the final transaction state in a rare case of lost connection between POS and payment device, or to reprint a receipt.<\/p>\n

Improved functionality<\/h2>\n

Download firmware in background<\/h3>\n

Improved support for downloading payment device firmware in the background.\u00a0Installation of firmware takes several reboots of the PED. The iOS device could block this process.<\/p>\n

Dynamic framework<\/h3>\n

The iOS library is now a dynamic framework. Bundle resources are contained within a single *.framework package.<\/p>\n

Documentation<\/h3>\n

We've improved the included API Reference documentation included in the package with the library.<\/p>\n

Removed functionality<\/h2>\n

Removed barcode scanning functionality. A dedicated barcode scanning library is available at\u00a0https:\/\/github.com\/Adyen\/adyen-barcoder-ios<\/a>.\u00a0The new Barcoder app is not compatible with 1.15 lib.\u00a0The compatibility issue is confirmed to be fixed in lib 1.16.<\/p>\n

Our barcode scanning library is compatible with terminal firmware versions 1_17p19 and later.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

      \n\u00a0 \u00a0- Known issue: when you change the e315M terminal release to V14, an extra reboot is needed to activate the barcode scanner<\/li>\n
    • Verifone MFi issue:
      \n\u00a0 \u00a0- E355: the \"Enter\" button is not working when the terminal is inside of the sleeve. When you remove terminal from the sleeve, the \"Enter\" button works.
