The new libraries, COM for Windows, Java Native Interface and C, are built on the same core application. This allows merchants operating on Windows, Linux, or OS-X based POS systems to integrate with Adyen's payment terminals. The new libraries also work with all Adyen's mobile and countertop PIN entry devices.  There are two stable versions of the 1.6 library: 1.6.3 and 1.6.4. 1.6.4 also supports gift card integrations. ### COM for Windows COM for Windows now supports integration using any programming language available on Windows platforms. ### Java Native Interface Adyen's JNI allows Java developers on any platform to easily integrate into Adyen's PEDs. ### C - Library Any POS system running performance-restricted hardware can now use Adyen's C Library. ### Compression support The JNI, COM for Windows and C Library now supports compression of communications with Adyen Terminals, which reduces transaction time and improves reliability. ### COM includes .NET example implementation The COM for Windows Library now includes clear examples of best practice implementations using .NET and C#, which speeds up integration for POS vendors. ### JNI includes Java example implementation Adyen's Java Native Interface package now includes examples of implementation to demonstrate best practice implementation using Java. ### Fast tax free refund Customers have more spending power in store with the choice to shop without paying VAT, or get a refund on the day of payment. ### Multi – PED Connections between many POSs and PEDs are now supported, and all libraries can run in server mode. In server mode, you can create an integration with our library running on a server. The server manages all the PEDs and interactions between PEDs and POS. This only requires one instance to run inside the store to control all the PEDs. ### Retrieve previous transaction list Retrieve a list of transactions and their associated information using the GetTxStoreReport function. Object `TxStoreReport`, call `GetTxStoreReport` and callback `TXStoreReportCB`.  ### Gift card support – COM for Windows, JNI and C (1.6.4 only) Adyen now offers a simpler interface to support Gift Card service providers, including Givex. The integration supports Redemption, Load and Balance inquiry. ## Notes/Known issues * JNI 1.6 is compatible with JNI 1.3. The 1.3 compatible version is packaged as a separate JAR. New merchants must use the native 1.6 JAR. Merchants upgrading to use newly introduced features must also use the native 1.6 JAR.  * It may occur that a receipt callback with the same receipt is fired more than once. If you experience this issue, contact [Support Team](https://ca-test.adyen.com/ca/ca/contactUs/support.shtml?form=other).
