Some steps include a link to more detailed instructions.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"#inspection\">Inspect the terminal<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Turn on the terminal: connect the terminal to a power supply, then press and hold the power button until the display turns on.<br \/>\nLet the battery charge for at least four hours while you continue with the next steps.<\/li>\n<li>On the <strong>Welcome<\/strong> screen, select your language.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#connect-to-network\">Connect the terminal to your network<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>On the <strong>Confirm store<\/strong> screen, assign the terminal to your store by selecting the check mark button. If the store shown is not your store, use the edit button to change it.\n <div class=\"sc-notice info\"><div>\n<p>If the <strong>store<\/strong> screen doesn't show, wait until the next synchronization with the Adyen platform (on average three hours) and try again.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>When you have completed these steps, you are ready to process payments!<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"inspection\">Inspect the terminal<\/h2>\n<p>Because payment terminals process sensitive card data, you must verify that the terminal you received is the correct one, supplied by Adyen, and has not been tampered with.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Verify that the shipping box containing the terminal has not been opened and that the tamper-evident security packing tape is intact.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If you have access to the Adyen <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-live.adyen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">Customer Area<\/a>, log in and under <strong>In-person payments<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Orders and returns<\/strong> find the order for your terminal. Then:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Verify that the <strong>serial number<\/strong> (S\/N) on the box is the same as in the Customer Area. <\/li>\n<li>Using the <strong>track &amp; trace<\/strong> link, track the order with the carrier to verify that they confirm having delivered the payment terminal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Open the box, take the terminal out of the box, and verify that the <strong>serial number<\/strong> (S\/N) on the terminal is the same as the serial number on the box.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Inspect the terminal for tampering. Check for missing screws, additional wires or labels, holes in the device, and anything inserted in or attached to any part of the terminal.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"notices red\">\n<p>If any of the above checks fails, contact our <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-test.adyen.com\/ca\/ca\/contactUs\/support.shtml?form=other\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">Support Team<\/a> immediately.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"connect-to-network\">Connect to your network<\/h2>\n<p>Connect your terminal to the internet so that it can communicate with the Adyen payments platform and your own back-end systems.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"connect-wi-fi\">Connect to Wi-Fi<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>After selecting your language on the <strong>Welcome<\/strong> screen, select the arrow button: <br><img style=\"width: 40px;\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/user\/pages\/reuse\/terminal-manuals\/android-network\/bttn-round-icon.svg?decoding=auto&amp;fetchpriority=auto\" \/><\/li>\n<li>On the <strong>Setup Wi-Fi<\/strong> screen, select the <strong>+<\/strong> sign.<\/li>\n<li>Turn on the <strong>WLAN<\/strong> toggle switch.<\/li>\n<li>Select a Wi-Fi network from the list, or select the <strong>+<\/strong> sign and add the name (SSID) of the Wi-Fi network.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the Wi-Fi password.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>OK<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe terminal sets the network as default automatically, and connects to it.<br \/>\nYou'll now see a Wi-Fi icon at the top of the display.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Updating the connection settings<\/h4>\n<p>If you need to change Wi-Fi usage later:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Select <strong>Settings<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Network<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your passcode.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Wi-Fi<\/strong>. You can now:\n<ul>\n<li>Turn Wi-Fi on or off using the <strong>WLAN<\/strong> toggle switch.<\/li>\n<li>Add another network as described above.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"payment-terminal-menus\">Payment terminal menus<\/h2>\n<p>Your payment terminals have a menu with options related to payments, and a menu with options related to configuration. The access to some menu options is protected by passcodes.<\/p>\n<p>The menu icons are disabled on P630. This gives an overview of the total amounts for sales, refunds, gratuities (tips), and cancellations that the terminal processed since the last reset of the report. By resetting the report, you can use this functionality to get day totals or shift totals.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>To obtain the Totals report:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Select <strong>Transactions<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Totals<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the Transactions menu passcode.<\/li>\n<li>You can now:\n<ul>\n<li>View a Totals report for the period shown at the top of the report.<\/li>\n<li>Start a new reporting period by selecting the reset button: <br><img style=\"width: 50px;\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/user\/pages\/reuse\/terminal-manuals\/android-totals\/bttn-refresh.svg?decoding=auto&amp;fetchpriority=auto\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Access the report from the previous reporting period.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Resetting automatically<\/h3>\n<p>To automatically reset the Totals every day at a specific hour, contact our <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-test.adyen.com\/ca\/ca\/contactUs\/support.shtml?form=other\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">Support Team<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Airplane mode<\/h2>\n<p>For the airline industry the payment terminal has an airplane mode. When preparing for take-off, turning on airplane mode is the quickest way to turn off all cellular and other network connections on the terminal.<\/p>\n<p>When you turn airplane mode off again, the previous connections are restored.<\/p>\n<h3>Enable airplane mode<\/h3>\n<p>To be able to use airplane mode, contact our <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-test.adyen.com\/ca\/ca\/contactUs\/support.shtml?form=other\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">Support Team<\/a> and ask them to enable this feature.
