# Step 3 - Start a transaction

When the e355 is boarded and connected to the app, a cashier or shopper can start a transaction. The Bluetooth icon in the status bar of the terminal signals a connected device.

## Steps

1. Enter an amount in the POS app, and press **Card**.
2. Enter a card when prompted by the terminal.
3. Pass the terminal to the customer who enters their PIN. If the PIN is correct, the transaction will be approved.
