# Turn on and turn off the VX680

Turn your terminal on to begin setting it up for payments.

## Turn on the VX680

1. Press and hold **![](/user/pages/reuse/image-library/buttons/05.confirmvx680/9_vx680.png)** for a couple of seconds.
2. When the terminal is fully booted, it displays the Adyen logo or your custom logo, in case you provided us with a logo and we have already registered the terminal to your account.

## Turn off the VX680

* Press and hold **![](/user/pages/docs/03.point-of-sale/48.user-manuals/26.terminal-deprecation/19.vx680-user-manual/03.turn-on-and-turn-off-the-vx680/10_vx680.png)**. The terminal will beep repeatedly and then power down.
