If you are just starting your implementation, refer to our <a href=\"\/pt\/adyen-for-platforms-model\">new integration guide<\/a> instead.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Adyen verifies the account holder's entity based on the information provided during onboarding. If the automatic verification fails, due to incorrect data or data that cannot be verified, then Adyen asks the account holder to provide additional documents, such as a passport, bank statement, or a business registration document.<\/p>\n<p>A document can be uploaded through:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adyen's <a href=\"\/pt\/classic-platforms\/onboard-users\/hosted-onboarding-page\">Hosted Onboarding Page<\/a>. The account holder can upload their document directly on the page.<\/li>\n<li>Your <a href=\"\/pt\/classic-platforms\/onboard-users\/custom-onboarding#upload-documents\">own onboarding flow<\/a> where you collect the document yourself and make an API request to Adyen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>For individuals<\/h2>\n<p>In the EU, we require photo identification (such as passport) of your account holders. In all countries, if the account holder's identity cannot be validated automatically, Adyen asks the individual to provide a photo ID.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"upload-photo-id\">Photo ID<\/h3>\n<p>The main types of photos that are accepted are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Passport: Including the data page, with a picture, details, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Machine-readable_passport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">machine-readable zone<\/a> clearly visible.<\/li>\n<li>ID card: Including both front and back; each side in a separate file.<\/li>\n<li>Driving license: Including both front and back; each side in a separate file.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The name on the photo ID must match the name sent to Adyen during onboarding. If the names are different, for example: an account holder registers with their married name, but their passport shows their maiden name, then the photo ID check fails.<\/p>\n<p>If the check fails, the first and last name of the account holder that matches the name shown in the photo ID must be added. If the individual only has one name, they must use this name for both the first and last name fields when creating the account holder.<\/p>\n<p>The photo ID must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be non-expired.<\/li>\n<li>Have the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Machine-readable_passport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">machine-readable zone<\/a> visible (if available).<\/li>\n<li>Be a physical photo ID document, not digital.<\/li>\n<li>If there is an available field for a signature in the document, it must be signed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The uploaded document must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have separate files for front and back of the ID document (only when providing an ID card or driver's license).<\/li>\n<li>Be a full color and straightened image. The corners and edges of the ID must be fully visible.<\/li>\n<li>Be a photo or a scan of the physical photo ID document.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We do not accept:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Digital IDs.<\/li>\n<li>Secondary copies of IDs. These include screenshots of photos, a photo pasted onto another document, a photo of a screen, or a photo of a printout.<\/li>\n<li>Low-quality images.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"notices green\">\n<p>The uploaded document can be a maximum of 15 pages.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4>Additional information for specific countries\/regions<\/h4>\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th>Country<\/th>\n<th>Notes<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>France<\/td>\n<td>The validity of French national ID cards issued between 2 January 2004 and 31 December 2013 has been extended for 5 years beyond the original expiration date. The original period of validity of these cards was set at 10 years. Following the extension, they are now valid for 15 years from the year of issue. Note that f the card holder was under the age of 18 when the ID was issued, this extension does not apply. The extension does not apply to any other document types.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Poland<\/td>\n<td>Polish driving licenses do not show an expiration date. Any licenses issued before 2013\/19\/01 are valid until 2033. They must be exchanged for a new license prior to this date.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Ukraine<\/td>\n<td>Ukrainian passports are considered valid for 5 years from the original submission date for the extension of its validity period. Documents are verified asynchronously, and on average, the check will take about two days to complete.<\/p>\n<h3>Requirements for the company registration document<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Issued by a reliable, independent source, such as the national commercial register of the country where the business is registered in.<\/li>\n<li>Issued within the last (one) year, or contains a signature and a state of affairs with the date not older than one year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>File format and size requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Formats: JPEG, JPG, PNG, or PDF (maximum 2 pages)<\/li>\n<li>Size:\n<ul>\n<li>PDFs for <a href=\"\/pt\/classic-platforms\/verification-process\/legal-arrangements#upload-a-document-for-the-legal-arrangement\">legal arrangement documents<\/a>: minimum 1 KB, maximum 25 MB<\/li>\n<li>Other PDFs and other formats: minimum 1 KB, maximum 4 MB<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"bank-statements\">For bank accounts<\/h2>\n<p>If Adyen cannot verify a bank account, then we ask your account holder for a scanned bank statement.<\/p>\n<h3>Proof of bank account<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bank statements<\/li>\n<li>Deposit tickets or deposit forms<\/li>\n<li>Screenshots of  their  online banking environment<\/li>\n<li>Official letters issued by a bank<\/li>\n<li>Cheques<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Location-specific documents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relev\u00e9 d'Identit\u00e9 Bancaire (RIB): bank document in France<\/li>\n<li>TAMIEYTHPIO: bank document in Greece<\/li>\n<li>Singaporian bank passbooks: bank document in Singapore<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"notices red\">\n<p>Do not upload photos of bank-issued cards, such as credit or debit cards. These contain sensitive information.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Mandatory information<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>The account holder name. This must match the legal business name, trading (doing business as) name, or the name of the individual conducting business with Adyen, which you set when creating an <a href=\"\/pt\/classic-platforms\/account-holders-and-accounts#create-an-account-holder\">account holder<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The account number or IBAN needs to be visible.<\/li>\n<li>The date of issuance needs to be visible and needs to be dated less than 12 months ago. This requirement applies to all types of documents except for RIBs, cheques, online banking environment or TAMIEYTHPIO.\n<div class=\"notices yellow\">\n<p>Some RIBs and online banking environments contain a date of issuance. The date of issuance for these must also be less than 12 months ago.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>\n<li>The country\/region where the bank account is located.
