If you are just starting your implementation, refer to our <a href=\"\/pt\/adyen-for-platforms-model\">new integration guide<\/a> instead.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Account holders that conduct business with Adyen on behalf of another entity as established in a contractual agreement must also provide information about their agreement. We refer to contractual agreements as <em>legal arrangements<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Some examples of legal arrangements are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Involvement in a trust. For example, a business is a corporate trustee and is conducting business on behalf of the trust.<\/li>\n<li>Sole proprietorship. An individual is registered as a sole proprietor in the country they are operating in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can onboard account holders with legal arrangements through:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/pt\/classic-platforms\/onboard-users\/hosted-onboarding-page\">Hosted onboarding<\/a>: HOP supports collecting requirements by default.<\/li>\n<li>Your own onboarding flow: Follow the steps on this page to <a href=\"#required-information\">collect documents and additional information<\/a> in your UI and then <a href=\"#send-through-api\">send the information<\/a> to Adyen. This requires <strong>API version 6<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The information that account holders provide will be part of the verification checks. Failing to declare legal arrangements can result in blocked payouts and account suspensions.<\/p>\n<h2>Types of legal arrangements<\/h2>\n<p>Account holders in your platform must provide additional information if they are part of the following legal arrangements.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Association<\/strong><br \/>\nThe account holder, along with one or more associates, manages and shares profits of the business in accordance with agreed upon articles of association.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Partnership<\/strong><br \/>\nThe account holder, along with one or more legal entities (partners), manage, operate and share profits of their jointly-owned business. The account holder is wholly or partially liable for the debts of the partnership.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Sole proprietorship<\/strong><br \/>\nThe individual is registered as a sole proprietor, operates the business on their own, and is personally liable for the debts of the sole proprietorship.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Trust<\/strong><br \/>\nThe account holder (as the trustee) holds and manages assets for the beneficiaries in an agreement laid out in the trust deed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"supported-countries\">Supported legal arrangements<\/h3>\n<p>Adyen supports different legal arrangements for account holders operating in the following countries.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Association<\/strong>: Both the account holder and the association must be operating and established in the US.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Partnership<\/strong>: Australia, Singapore<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sole proprietorship<\/strong>: Singapore<\/li>\n<li><strong>Trust<\/strong>: Australia, Singapore<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Except for associations, the country where the legal arrangement was established can be different from the account holder's country of operation.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"required-information\">Step 1: Collect the required information<\/h2>\n<p>Account holders that are part of a legal arrangement must provide the following additional information.<\/p>\n\n<div id=\"tabUmpA7\">\n    <div data-component-wrapper=\"tabs\">\n        <tabs\n                        :items=\"[{&quot;title&quot;:&quot;Association&quot;,&quot;content&quot;:&quot;\\n&lt;p&gt;If the account holder is a partner conducting business on behalf of the association, they need to provide:&lt;\\\/p&gt;\\n&lt;ul&gt;\\n&lt;li&gt;The name of the association.&lt;\\\/li&gt;\\n&lt;li&gt;The country where the association was established. For example, in a partnership where the other partner is a private company, Adyen performs a company check. If the checks fail, Adyen might require the account holder to provide a document that proves the legal arrangement.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"send-through-api\">Step 2: Update the account holder<\/h2>\n<p>Update an existing account holder and send the information that you received from them in the  <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.adyen.com\/api-explorer\/Account\/latest\/post\/updateAccountHolder#request-accountHolderDetails-legalArrangements\" class=\"codeLabel  external-link no-image\" target=\"_blank\" An individual is registered as a sole proprietor in the country they are operating in.\n\nYou can onboard account holders with legal arrangements through:\n\nHosted onboarding: HOP supports collecting requirements by default.\nYour own onboarding flow: Follow the steps on this page to collect documents and additional information in your UI and then send the information to Adyen. This requires API version 6.\n\nThe information that account holders provide will be part of the verification checks. Failing to declare legal arrangements can result in blocked payouts and account suspensions.\nTypes of legal arrangements\nAccount holders in your platform must provide additional information if they are part of the following legal arrangements.\n\n\nAssociation\nThe account holder, along with one or more associates, manages and shares profits of the business in accordance with agreed upon articles of association.\n\n\nPartnership\nThe account holder, along with one or more legal entities (partners), manage, operate and share profits of their jointly-owned business. The account holder is wholly or partially liable for the debts of the partnership.\n\n\nSole proprietorship\nThe individual is registered as a sole proprietor, operates the business on their own, and is personally liable for the debts of the sole proprietorship.\n\n\nTrust\nThe account holder (as the trustee) holds and manages assets for the beneficiaries in an agreement laid out in the trust deed.\n\n\nSupported legal arrangements\nAdyen supports different legal arrangements for account holders operating in the following countries.\n\nAssociation: Both the account holder and the association must be operating and established in the US.\nPartnership: Australia, Singapore\nSole proprietorship: Singapore\nTrust: Australia, Singapore\n\nExcept for associations, the country where the legal arrangement was established can be different from the account holder's country of operation.\nStep 1: Collect the required information\nAccount holders that are part of a legal arrangement must provide the following additional information.\n\n\n    \n        \n        \n    \n\n\nAdyen uses the information to run automatic verification checks on the legal arrangement and other parties involved. For example, in a partnership where the other partner is a private company, Adyen performs a company check.
