User roles are sets of permissions that determine what a user can do in your Balance Platform Customer Area. When your Adyen contact sets up your Balance Platform, you receive an admin user account, which has all the roles that are available in your platform. You can use the admin user to create more users and assign them roles.
You can only assign roles that your user account already has. If you want additional roles in your platform, request them from your Adyen contact.
User roles are classified into the following categories:

General
The following roles enable you to create and manage resources in your Balance Platform Customer Area:
