{"title":"Manage card data","category":"default","creationDate":1776961628,"content":"<p>When your cardholders use their Adyen-issued cards for payments or ATM withdrawals, they may need to enter card data to authenticate the transaction.<\/p>\n<p>You can use our API to implement a functionality that enables your cardholders to reveal their card data. For example, you can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reveal or change a personal identification number (PIN).<\/li>\n<li>Reveal card details, such as primary account number (PAN) or expiration date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All these processes involve transferring sensitive card data between your servers and Adyen. To keep the data secure, all transferred data must be encrypted using methods such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Advanced_Encryption_Standard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/listings.pcisecuritystandards.org\/documents\/Implementing_ISO_Format_4_PIN_Blocks_Information_Supplement.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">ISO format 4 (ISO-4)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While you can implement these algorithms by yourself, you can also use the encryption and decryption methods from the <strong>Adyen SDK for card management<\/strong>.
