Customers recognize that they are doing business directly with your marketplace.<\/p>\n<h2>Account structure<\/h2>\n<p>To comply with payment scheme regulations, you must have a balance platform and merchant account in <a href=\"\/pt\/marketplaces#acquiring-regions\">each region that you are registered and wish to acquire payments<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"notices green\">\n<p>If you are a global marketplace with multiregional sellers who can transfer funds to each other:<ul><li>You must have a single balance platform for all your acquiring regions.<\/li><li>You cannot offer additional financial products to your users.<\/li><\/ul><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In the following example, you have a company called <strong>Online Marketplace<\/strong>. You process online payments for your users, who operate in two acquiring regions (<span translate=\"no\"><strong>EU<\/strong><\/span> and <span translate=\"no\"><strong>US<\/strong><\/span>) and three different countries\/areas (<span translate=\"no\"><strong>NL<\/strong><\/span>, <span translate=\"no\"><strong>DE<\/strong><\/span>, and <span translate=\"no\"><strong>US<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>You can classify resources based on whether they belong to your marketplace or to your user(s).<\/p>\n<h3>Resources belonging to your marketplace<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>A company account that represents your business entity: <span translate=\"no\"><strong>OnlineMarketplaceLLC<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Three merchant accounts, organized by country\/region:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span translate=\"no\"><strong>OnlineMarketplace_NL<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span translate=\"no\"><strong>OnlineMarketplace_DE<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span translate=\"no\"><strong>OnlineMarketplace_US<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Two balance platforms, one for each region in which you acquire payments (<span translate=\"no\"><strong>EU<\/strong><\/span> and <span translate=\"no\"><strong>US<\/strong><\/span>):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span translate=\"no\"><strong>OnlineMarketplace_EU<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span translate=\"no\"><strong>OnlineMarketplace_US<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A liable account holder, and a liable balance account to hold your marketplace's funds.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A legal entity in each acquiring region, containing information about your marketplace.
