{"title":"India go-live checklist","category":"default","creationDate":1662557100,"content":"<p>If you want to process payments in India, follow the steps in the <a href=\"\/pt\/online-payments\/payments-india-compliance-guide\/\">payments India compliance guide<\/a> first.<\/p>\n<p>Adyen automatically sets up your live Customer Area company and merchant account once all our KYC checks are complete. We follow the naming conventions of your test company account.<\/p>\n<p>When your live India company account is available:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The payment methods configured on your test environment are available on live. The payment methods on your merchant accounts are the same as they are on test, with a new merchant ID (MID) for your India Customer Area.<\/li>\n<li>Payouts to your bank account in India are set up.<\/li>\n<li>Your admin user is the same as the admin user on the test environment. They receive an email asking them to verify that the setup is correct and to change their password.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following steps show you how to configure your live India company account, and how to perform end-to-end tests.<\/p>\n<h2>Configure your live India Company Account<\/h2>\n<h3>Set up your live account structure<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/pt\/account\/manage-account-structure\">Create additional merchant accounts<\/a> if needed for your business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Give team members access to the live environment<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/pt\/account\/users#create\">Create a separate user<\/a> for each team member who needs to access your <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-live-in.adyen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">live India Customer Area<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Give each user the <a href=\"\/pt\/account\/user-roles\">roles<\/a> and account access required to perform their tasks.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/pt\/account\/notification-center\">Set up Customer Area notifications<\/a> to be notified of important events such as chargebacks.<\/li>\n<li>Set up <a href=\"\/pt\/account\/two-factor-authentication\">two-factor authentication<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Finance<\/h2>\n<h3>Receive payouts from Adyen<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><a href=\"\/pt\/account\/manage-payout-account-details\">Add information about the bank accounts<\/a> in India where you want to receive the payouts from Adyen, if you have not done so <a href=\"\/pt\/get-started-with-adyen\/application-requirements#bank-statement\">as part of your application<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><a href=\"\/pt\/account\/getting-paid#change-how-you-get-paid\">Review and change how you get paid<\/a>, if required.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Use reports for reconciliation<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Set up <a href=\"\/pt\/reporting\/automatically-get-reports\">automatic generation of reports<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Use the <a href=\"\/pt\/reporting\/settlement-detail-report\">Settlement details report<\/a> to reconcile your accounts on a transaction level.<\/li>\n<li>Consider <a href=\"\/pt\/reporting\/settlement-reconciliation\">automating your reconciliation process<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"reserve\">(Optional) Set up a Reserve<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Consider setting up a <a href=\"\/pt\/account\/balances\/reserve\">Reserve<\/a>: this is used for refunds and other operational expenses in case of insufficient <a href=\"\/pt\/account\/balances\">in-process funds<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Risk<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Review and <a href=\"\/pt\/risk-management\">customize<\/a> your risk profile.<\/li>\n<li>Create <a href=\"\/pt\/risk-management\/configure-manual-risk\/referral-rules\">block and trust lists (referrals)<\/a> in your India company account.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/pt\/risk-management\/configure-manual-risk\/standard-risk-rules#velocity-rules\">Velocity risk rules<\/a> will not work as well for your India company account at first, because they rely on historical transaction data.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/pt\/account\/notification-center\">Set up Customer Area notifications<\/a> and webhooks to get notified when you receive a <a href=\"\/pt\/risk-management\/understanding-disputes\/dispute-process-and-flow#dispute-process\">Notification of Fraud (NOF)<\/a> or a <a href=\"\/pt\/risk-management\/understanding-disputes\/dispute-process-and-flow#dispute-process\">Chargeback (NOC)<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that you know how risk rules are triggered by the information that you send in your payment request. Some fields are strongly recommended to include because they are <a href=\"\/pt\/risk-management\/configure-manual-risk\/required-risk-field-reference\">required<\/a> for specific risk checks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>API communication<\/h3>\n<p>To make live API requests:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Generate an <a href=\"\/pt\/development-resources\/api-credentials#generate-api-key\">API key<\/a> in your India company account, and copy this to your live integration.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that your live API credentials have the required <a href=\"\/pt\/development-resources\/api-credentials#api-permissions\">API permissions<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Update the Adyen endpoints for your India accounts to your <a href=\"\/pt\/development-resources\/live-endpoints\">live endpoints<\/a>. You can find the correct URLs in your <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-live-in.adyen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">India company account<\/a> under <strong>Developers<\/strong> &gt; <strong>API URLs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>If you have implemented Adyen front-end checkout solutions such as Drop-in, Components or a custom card component, set the <code>environment<\/code> value to <code>live-in<\/code> in your <a href=\"\/pt\/online-payments\/build-your-integration\/sessions-flow?platform=Web&amp;integration=Drop-in#configure\">front-end configuration object<\/a> and update the URLs to India-specific ones:\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div style=\"display: inline\">https:\/\/checkoutshopper-<b>live-in<\/b>.adyen.com\/checkoutshopper\/sdk\/<b>[version]<\/b>\/adyen.js<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"display: inline\">https:\/\/checkoutshopper-<b>live-in<\/b>.adyen.com\/checkoutshopper\/sdk\/<b>[version]<\/b>\/adyen.css<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/li>\n<li>Your setup is working if the endpoints you are using correspond to the endpoints listed in your India company account and you can see payments listed in the <strong>Payments<\/strong> list in your Customer Area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Set up payment methods<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Contact our <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-test.adyen.com\/ca\/ca\/contactUs\/support.shtml?form=other\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">Support Team<\/a> to add the payment methods that you want to offer to shoppers in India.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that payments appear correctly on the shopper's bank statement. Configure the <code>shopperStatement<\/code> field when making a payment or when creating a payment session.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Webhooks<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Set up <a href=\"\/pt\/development-resources\/webhooks\">webhooks<\/a> in your <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-live-in.adyen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">live India Customer Area<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that you <a href=\"\/pt\/development-resources\/webhooks\/configure-and-manage#accept-webhooks\">acknowledge webhooks<\/a> with a <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.mozilla.org\/en-US\/docs\/Web\/HTTP\/Status#successful_responses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">successful HTTP response status code<\/a>, for example <strong>200<\/strong> in the response, to <a href=\"\/pt\/development-resources\/webhooks\/troubleshoot#retry-queue\">prevent webhooks from being queued<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that you receive all <a href=\"\/pt\/development-resources\/webhooks\/webhook-types#event-codes\">webhooks<\/a> needed for your integration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>End-to-end testing<\/h2>\n<p>To make sure your integration can handle the entire <a href=\"\/pt\/account\/payments-lifecycle\">payments lifecycle<\/a>, you need to test possible scenarios with real payment details.<\/p>\n<div class=\"notices green\">\n<p>Payments with real details incur fees.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>For each payment method that you offer, make a successful payment using real details.<\/li>\n<li>Make a payment with <code>resultCode<\/code>: <strong>Refused<\/strong>, for example by entering incorrect card details.<\/li>\n<li>Make a payment with <code>refusalReason<\/code>: <strong>FRAUD<\/strong>, by triggering multiple risk checks to achieve a risk score above <strong>100<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Local payment methods<\/h3>\n<p>The local payment methods <a href=\"\/pt\/payment-methods\/wallets-india\">Wallets India<\/a>, <a href=\"\/pt\/payment-methods\/online-banking-india\">Online Banking India<\/a>, <a href=\"\/pt\/payment-methods\/paytm\">Paytm Wallet<\/a> and <a href=\"\/pt\/payment-methods\/upi\">UPI<\/a> require the shopper to be redirected or manually go to another website or app to complete the payment.<\/p>\n<p>If you implemented any of these, test the following scenarios:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>After being redirected, wait for more than five minutes to complete the payment.<\/li>\n<li>Select the cancel or back button on the redirected page, to cancel the payment.<\/li>\n<li>Close the browser when on the redirected page, to simulate the shopper abandoning the session.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Tokenization<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>If you process recurring payments with <code>recurringProcessingmodelModel<\/code> <strong>CardOnFile<\/strong>, <strong>UnscheduledCardOnFile<\/strong> or <strong>Subscription<\/strong>, implement the <a href=\"\/pt\/online-payments\/payments-india-compliance-guide#cardonfile\">CardOnFile<\/a> and <a href=\"\/pt\/online-payments\/payments-india-compliance-guide\/#recurring\">recurring<\/a> flows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Refunds<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Make a payment in your India company account, then refund it.
