With Trustly, you can offer shoppers who prefer not to pay with cards a way to pay online using their bank accounts.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"shopper-experience\">How to pay with Trustly<\/h4>\n<p>After your shopper chooses to pay with Trustly:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>They are redirected to a Trustly-hosted payment page where they see a list of available banks in their country\/region.<\/li>\n<li>They select their bank and are prompted to provide their online banking log-in credentials and authenticate as they would when logging into their online bank account.<\/li>\n<li>They select the account from where they want to make the payment and are prompted to provide a one-time code to confirm the payment.<\/li>\n<li>After they complete the payment, they are redirected back to your website or AUTHORISATION webhook. The successful AUTHORISATION webhook means that the payment has passed the verifications that the issuer and Trustly run on the shopper account, and that the bank transfer was initiated successfully. However, the payment can still fail for the following reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The shopper cancelled the transaction. Banks in some countries\/regions (including Germany) allow shoppers to cancel bank transfers until midnight of the day of the transaction.<\/li>\n<li>Some banks process transactions with a delay and do not block the funds for an authorized Trustly payment. For example, if the shopper completes a Trustly payment on a Saturday, the bank might only process it on Monday. If the shopper has withdrawn sufficient funds in the meantime, the payment will fail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In these cases, Adyen is not informed that the transaction failed. We also do not know whether the bank might still process it later.<\/p>\n<p>On our side, the status of the payment is <span translate=\"no\"><strong>SentForSettle<\/strong><\/span> until we receive the funds.
