Render payment methods with the Magento 2 plugin
Starting from version 4.1.0, our plugin renders payment methods based on what is enabled in your Adyen Customer Area. Before you set up the payment methods in Magento, make sure to add all payment methods that you offer.
During checkout, the plugin displays the payment methods that you offer for the country and currency combination selected by the shopper. For example, if the shopper is in the Netherlands and uses the EUR currency, the plugin shows iDEAL; if the shopper is in Sweden and uses the SEK currency, the plugin doesn't show iDEAL.
If your added payment methods don't show up during checkout, read our troubleshooting guide.
If you sell virtual products, the payment methods get rendered based on the country of your store. The store country can be changed in the Magento admin panel: in the left navigation bar, go to Stores > Configuration > Default Country.
Some payment methods require extra steps in the Magento backend. To find the sections for setting up these payment methods:
- Log in to your Magento admin panel.
- In the left navigation bar, go to Stores > Configuration.
- In the menu, go to Sales > Payment Methods.
After the Advanced settings, you can find the sections for various payment methods, explained below.
