This diagram shows the order status lifecycle between Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and the Order Management System (OMS). You can use the diagram to learn about order statuses, troubleshoot, and test the synchronization between the two plugins.
There are two payment flows available for different payment method types in SFCC and OMS:
- SALE flow: The payment is captured directly after authorisation.
- AUTH flow: Authorisation and capture are two different steps.
For alternative payment methods, such as local payment methods, both flows are available and you can configure them in your Customer Area. Card payment methods follow the AUTH flow by default.
