Kiosk mode is intended for payment terminals in unattended environments, such as next to a vending machine, token dispenser, or parking payment systems. Kiosk mode hides the navigation bar and the settings and transaction buttons at the bottom of the screen. In this way, you can prevent customers from using the terminal screen to change or minimize the default app, or to power off the terminal.<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/h2>\n

Before you begin, take into account the following requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Customer Area roles<\/a><\/strong><\/td>\nTo enable kiosk mode from the Customer Area, you need the following roles<\/a>:
  • Merchant POS Terminal Management Admin<\/strong> for configurations at any level.<\/li>
  • Merchant POS Terminal Management<\/strong> for configurations at the level of the merchant account (and lower).<\/li><\/ul><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Hardware<\/strong><\/td>\nYou can enable kiosk mode on Android payment terminal models AMS1, S1E2L, S1E, S1E4Pro, S1F2, S1F4Pro, or S1U2.
On the P630 terminal model, kiosk mode is enabled by default.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Enable kiosk mode<\/h2>\n

You can set a default Android app that you uploaded<\/a> for customer interaction.<\/p>\n

To enable kiosk mode:<\/p>\n

    In your Customer Area<\/a>, go to In-person payments<\/strong> > Terminal settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Select Customization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Under Kiosk mode<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Enable Hide navigation bar<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    2. At App upon terminal start<\/strong>, select the default app for your customers to interact with.<\/li>\n
    3. Optionally, at Allowed apps in Kiosk mode<\/strong>, select other apps that can be used in kiosk mode.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

      Under Home screen<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

      1. At Settings menu<\/strong> select Hide<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      2. At Transactions menu<\/strong>, select Hide<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

        Select Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
