Customers tap your mobile device with their payment card, or with their phone (or other device) that has a digital wallet like Apple Pay.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>With a <strong>card reader<\/strong>, you start transactions from a POS app that runs on your mobile device and <em>use the card reader as the payment interface<\/em>. Customers tap, insert, or swipe their card on the card reader, or use a digital wallet like Apple Pay.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If your POS app allows selecting the payment interface, the Tap to Pay on iPhone and card reader solutions can be used alongside each other.<\/p>\n<h2>Mobile SDK<\/h2>\n<p>The starting point for mobile in-person payments is your iOS POS app. This app must be integrated with our <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/design-your-integration\/terminal-api#api-structure\">Terminal API<\/a>. When you have such an app, you can add our iOS Mobile SDK to your POS app.<\/p>\n<p>The Tap to Pay on iPhone solution and the card reader solution use the same iOS SDK.
