The terminal also prints a receipt for the transaction.<\/p>\n<p>You can find the details of the payment in your <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-test.adyen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">Customer Area<\/a>, under <strong>Transactions<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Payments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"qr-code\">QR code payments<\/h3>\n<p>Standalone terminals also support wallets like Alipay and WeChat Pay. For these payment methods, a QR code is shown on the terminal display. The shopper uses the app on their phone to scan this QR code and complete the payment.<\/p>\n<p>To make a QR code payment:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Select <strong>Payment<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>On <em>non-Android terminals<\/em> that use the <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/menu-access#old-menu-structure\">old menu structure<\/a>, select <strong>Start<\/strong> on the terminal display, or select the <strong>Confirm<\/strong> key <strong><img alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/e\/1\/f\/d\/f\/e1fdf2ab953d26666e876b743ce54acaa22e7206-confirm2x.png\" \/><\/strong> on the keypad.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/li>\n<li>Enter the transaction value and confirm to continue.<\/li>\n<li>On the terminal display, select <strong>Wallets<\/strong>, then select the shopper's payment method.<br \/>\nA QR code is shown on the terminal display.<\/li>\n<li>Hand the terminal to the shopper, so they can complete the payment.<\/li>\n<li>The shopper scans the QR code on the terminal to complete the payment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If successful, the terminal shows the transaction is approved. The terminal also prints a receipt for the transaction.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mke\">Manual Key Entry payment<\/h3>\n<p>Manual Key Entry (MKE) involves manually typing the details from a shopper's card into the payment terminal. You can use this when the payment terminal fails to obtain the card details from the card's chip or magnetic stripe.<\/p>\n<p>To make an MKE payment:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Select <strong>Transactions<\/strong> &gt; <strong>New transaction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Enter your <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/pos-troubleshooting\/terminal-turns-on\/admin-pin#get-passcode\">Transactions passcode<\/a>, and select <strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On <em>non-Android terminals<\/em> that use the <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/menu-access#old-menu-structure\">old menu structure<\/a>:\n<ol>\n<li>Select <strong>8<\/strong> and then the <strong>Confirm<\/strong> key <strong><img alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/e\/1\/f\/d\/f\/e1fdf2ab953d26666e876b743ce54acaa22e7206-confirm2x.png\" \/><\/strong> (on legacy models, it is <strong>Confirm<\/strong> and then <strong>8<\/strong>.).<\/li>\n<li>Enter your <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/pos-troubleshooting\/terminal-turns-on\/admin-pin#get-passcode\">Transactions passcode<\/a>, and select the <strong>Confirm<\/strong> key.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select <strong>Manual key entry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Enter an amount and confirm to continue.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Follow the instructions on the display to enter the <a href=\"\/pt\/get-started-with-adyen\/adyen-glossary\/#card-number-pan\">PAN<\/a> and the card expiry date.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The transaction then follows the normal flow.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"moto\">MOTO payment<\/h3>\n<p>A Mail Order\/Telephone Order (MOTO) transaction is a <a href=\"\/pt\/get-started-with-adyen\/adyen-glossary\/#card-not-present-cnp\">card-not-present transaction<\/a> where the shopper provides you with their order and payment details by regular mail (not email), fax, or telephone. Before you can make MOTO transactions, you need to <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/mail-and-telephone-order-moto\">enable this feature<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To make a MOTO payment:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Select <strong>Transactions<\/strong> &gt; <strong>New transaction<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/pos-troubleshooting\/terminal-turns-on\/admin-pin#get-passcode\">Transactions passcode<\/a>, and select <strong>Continue<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>On <em>non-Android terminals<\/em> that use the <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/menu-access#old-menu-structure\">old menu structure<\/a>:\n<ol>\n<li>Select <strong>8<\/strong> and then the <strong>Confirm<\/strong> key <strong><img alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/e\/1\/f\/d\/f\/e1fdf2ab953d26666e876b743ce54acaa22e7206-confirm2x.png\" \/><\/strong> (on legacy models, it is <strong>Confirm<\/strong> and then <strong>8<\/strong>.).<\/li>\n<li>Enter your <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/pos-troubleshooting\/terminal-turns-on\/admin-pin#get-passcode\">Transactions passcode<\/a>, and select the <strong>Confirm<\/strong> key.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Moto payment<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter an amount and confirm.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the instructions on the display to enter the shopper's card number and CVC code. The terminal may also ask you to enter the shopper's postal code (zip code) and house number.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The transaction then follows the normal flow.<\/p>\n<h3>Cashback<\/h3>\n<p>The cashback feature lets shoppers get cash in hand from their account when making a purchase.<\/p>\n<div class=\"notices yellow\">\n<p>Issuing a cashback without a purchase, often called cashout, is currently not supported on standalone payment terminals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>To issue a cashback:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Select <strong>Transactions<\/strong> &gt; <strong>New transaction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Enter your <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/pos-troubleshooting\/terminal-turns-on\/admin-pin#get-passcode\">Transactions passcode<\/a>, and select <strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On <em>non-Android terminals<\/em> that use the <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/menu-access#old-menu-structure\">old menu structure<\/a>:\n<ol>\n<li>Select <strong>8<\/strong> and then the <strong>Confirm<\/strong> key <strong><img alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/e\/1\/f\/d\/f\/e1fdf2ab953d26666e876b743ce54acaa22e7206-confirm2x.png\" \/><\/strong> (on legacy models, it is <strong>Confirm<\/strong> and then <strong>8<\/strong>.).<\/li>\n<li>Enter your <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/pos-troubleshooting\/terminal-turns-on\/admin-pin#get-passcode\">Transactions passcode<\/a>, and select the <strong>Confirm<\/strong> key.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select <strong>Cashback<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Enter the purchase amount and confirm to continue.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Enter the cashback amount.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Follow the instructions on the display to enter the shopper's card number and CVC code.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The transaction then follows the normal flow.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"tipping-standalone\">Tipping<\/h2>\n<p>If our <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-test.adyen.com\/ca\/ca\/contactUs\/support.shtml?form=other\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">Support Team<\/a> has enabled tipping for your account, the terminal will prompt for a tip with every payment that you initiate.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"#make-a-payment\">Start the payment<\/a> and enter the transaction value as usual.<br \/>\nThe terminal shows a message asking the shopper whether they want to add a tip.<\/li>\n<li>Hand the terminal to the shopper, so they can select a tipping option, enter an amount, or decline giving a tip.<\/li>\n<li>The transaction then follows the normal flow, and the shopper follows the instructions on the terminal to complete the payment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"cancel\">Cancel an in-progress payment<\/h2>\n<p>Before a payment has finished processing you can try to cancel it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select the <strong>Cancel<\/strong> key <strong><img alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/6\/2\/0\/e\/0\/620e0c5c343676dd2b947bbdb1573f7eebc3caf7-cancel2x.png\" \/><\/strong> on the terminal keypad.<br \/>\nOr <em>on an Android terminal<\/em>, select the <strong>Cancel<\/strong> key <img alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/8\/c\/b\/a\/8\/8cba85f90ce9ac91da3a6af2e8d00272de93035f-android-cancel.png\" \/> on the display.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If your cancel attempt is successful, the terminal shows a <strong>Cancelled<\/strong> message on the display.<\/p>\n<div class=\"notices blue\">\n<p>If the cancel attempt failed (and the payment was approved), you will need to <a href=\"#refund\">issue a refund<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"refund\">Refund a payment<\/h2>\n<p>There are two types of refund you can make from a standalone terminal:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#referenced\">Referenced refunds<\/a> are connected to the original purchase.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#unreferenced\">Unreferenced refunds<\/a> can be made to any card and for any amount.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Referenced refunds offer the following advantages over unreferenced refunds:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lower risk of return fraud: a payment cannot be refunded multiple times.<\/li>\n<li>Lower risk of human error: store staff cannot enter the wrong refund amount on the terminal.<\/li>\n<li>Support for QR code payment methods, such as Alipay and WeChat Pay, which do not allow unreferenced refunds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When a refund has been processed, it is deducted from your <a href=\"https:\/\/help.adyen.com\/knowledge\/payments\/refunds\/what-funds-do-i-have-available-for-refunds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">in-process funds<\/a> and will appear in your shopper's account within a few days.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"referenced\">Make a referenced refund<\/h3>\n<p>To make a referenced refund:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Select <strong>Transactions<\/strong> &gt; <strong>History<\/strong>, enter your <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/pos-troubleshooting\/terminal-turns-on\/admin-pin#get-passcode\">Transactions passcode<\/a>, and select <strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On <em>non-Android terminals<\/em> that use the <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/menu-access#old-menu-structure\">old menu structure<\/a>, go to<a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/pos-troubleshooting\/terminal-turns-on\/admin-pin#open-admin-menu\">Admin &amp; Settings menu<\/a> and select <strong>Transactions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select the transaction you want to refund.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select the action to void (refund) the transaction.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The terminal prints a receipt for the refund.<\/p>\n<p>If successful, the refund is issued directly to the shopper's account.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"unreferenced\">Make an unreferenced refund<\/h3>\n<p>To make an unreferenced refund:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Select <strong>Transactions<\/strong> &gt; <strong>New transaction<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Enter your <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/pos-troubleshooting\/terminal-turns-on\/admin-pin#get-passcode\">Transactions passcode<\/a> and select <strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On <em>non-Android terminals<\/em> that use the <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/menu-access#old-menu-structure\">old menu structure<\/a>:\n<ol>\n<li>Select <strong>8<\/strong> and then the <strong>Confirm<\/strong> key <strong><img alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/e\/1\/f\/d\/f\/e1fdf2ab953d26666e876b743ce54acaa22e7206-confirm2x.png\" \/><\/strong> (on legacy models, it is <strong>Confirm<\/strong> and then <strong>8<\/strong>.).<\/li>\n<li>Enter your <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/pos-troubleshooting\/terminal-turns-on\/admin-pin#get-passcode\">Transactions passcode<\/a> and select the <strong>Confirm<\/strong> key.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select <strong>Refund<\/strong> or <strong>MOTO refund<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If the terminal asks for a passcode, enter your 6-digit <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/pos-troubleshooting\/terminal-turns-on\/admin-pin#get-passcode\">Refunds passcode<\/a> and select the <strong>Confirm<\/strong> key or <strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"notices green\">\n<p>If you enter an incorrect passcode three times, you have to wait for 30 seconds before you try again.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Enter the value of the refund and confirm.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Complete the refund:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For a regular <strong>Refund<\/strong>, the shopper presents the card to the terminal and follows the instructions on the terminal to complete the refund.<\/li>\n<li>For a <strong>MOTO refund<\/strong>, you manually enter the <strong>Card number<\/strong>, <strong>Expiry date<\/strong>, and <strong>CVC<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe terminal shows a success screen. In case of a regular <strong>Refund<\/strong>, the terminal prints a receipt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You can find the details of refunds in your <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-test.adyen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">Customer Area<\/a>, under <strong>History<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Payments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"gift-cards\">Use gift cards and other stored value cards<\/h2>\n<p>Stored value cards are payment cards with a monetary value that is stored on the card itself instead of in a bank account. Examples are gift cards, mall cards, meal vouchers, and other prepaid cards.<\/p>\n<p>To use a stored value card on a standalone terminal:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Select <strong>8<\/strong> and then the <strong>Confirm<\/strong> key <strong><img alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/e\/1\/f\/d\/f\/e1fdf2ab953d26666e876b743ce54acaa22e7206-confirm2x.png\" \/><\/strong> (on legacy models, it is <strong>Confirm<\/strong> and then <strong>8<\/strong>.).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Enter your <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/pos-troubleshooting\/terminal-turns-on\/admin-pin#get-passcode\">Transactions passcode<\/a>, and select the <strong>Confirm<\/strong> key.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select <strong>Gift card<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select the action you want to perform:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Redeem<\/strong>: remove the transaction amount from a gift card.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Redeem via MKE<\/strong>: use Manual key entry to remove transaction amount from a gift card.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Activate<\/strong>: activate a gift card before the shopper can use the card for payment. You can activate the card with and without and amount.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Load<\/strong>: add funds to a gift card.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Balance inquiry<\/strong>: check the funds remaining on the gift card. It is not possible to <a href=\"#cancel\">cancel<\/a> this action.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cashout<\/strong>: take funds off the gift card and give this back to the shopper as cash.\n<div class=\"notices green\">\n<p>Standalone gift card payments only allow a full cash out of the gift card funds.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Follow the instructions on the display.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The transaction then follows the normal flow of the chosen gift card action.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"totals\">View, print, and reset totals<\/h2>\n<p>The terminal can generate a Totals report. This gives an overview of the total amounts for sales, refunds, gratuities (tips), and cancellations that the terminal processed since the last reset. By resetting the report, you can use this functionality to get day totals or shift totals.<\/p>\n<p>To obtain the Totals report:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Select <strong>Transactions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On <em>non-Android terminals<\/em> that use the <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/menu-access#old-menu-structure\">old menu structure<\/a>, <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/pos-troubleshooting\/terminal-turns-on\/admin-pin\">open the Admin menu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select <strong>Totals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>You can now:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>View a Totals report for the period shown at the top of the report.<\/li>\n<li>Print the Totals report.<\/li>\n<li>Start a new reporting period by selecting the reset button <img style=\"width: 40px;\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/user\/pages\/docs\/03.point-of-sale\/43.standalone\/standalone-use\/bttn-refresh.svg?decoding=auto&amp;fetchpriority=auto\" \/>.\n<ul>\n<li>On a non-Android terminal that uses the old menu structure, select <strong>Reset<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Yes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The totals from the previous period are no longer shown. The terminal also prints a receipt for the transaction.\nYou can find the details of the payment in your Customer Area, under Transactions &gt; Payments.\nQR code payments\nStandalone terminals also support wallets like Alipay and WeChat Pay. For these payment methods, a QR code is shown on the terminal display. The shopper uses the app on their phone to scan this QR code and complete the payment.\nTo make a QR code payment:\n\nSelect Payment.\n\nOn non-Android terminals that use the old menu structure, select Start on the terminal display, or select the Confirm key  on the keypad.\n\nEnter the transaction value and confirm to continue.\nOn the terminal display, select Wallets, then select the shopper's payment method.\nA QR code is shown on the terminal display.\nHand the terminal to the shopper, so they can complete the payment.\nThe shopper scans the QR code on the terminal to complete the payment.\n\nIf successful, the terminal shows the transaction is approved. The terminal also prints a receipt for the transaction.\nManual Key Entry payment\nManual Key Entry (MKE) involves manually typing the details from a shopper's card into the payment terminal. You can use this when the payment terminal fails to obtain the card details from the card's chip or magnetic stripe.\nTo make an MKE payment:\n\n\nSelect Transactions &gt; New transaction.\n\n\nEnter your Transactions passcode, and select Continue.\n\nOn non-Android terminals that use the old menu structure:\n\nSelect 8 and then the Confirm key  (on legacy models, it is Confirm and then 8.).\nEnter your Transactions passcode, and select the Confirm key.\n\n\n\n\nSelect Manual key entry.\n\n\nEnter an amount and confirm to continue.\n\n\nFollow the instructions on the display to enter the PAN and the card expiry date.\n\n\nThe transaction then follows the normal flow.\nMOTO payment\nA Mail Order\/Telephone Order (MOTO) transaction is a card-not-present transaction where the shopper provides you with their order and payment details by regular mail (not email), fax, or telephone. Before you can make MOTO transactions, you need to enable this feature.\nTo make a MOTO payment:\n\nSelect Transactions &gt; New transaction.\nEnter your Transactions passcode, and select Continue.\n\nOn non-Android terminals that use the old menu structure:\n\nSelect 8 and then the Confirm key  (on legacy models, it is Confirm and then 8.).\nEnter your Transactions passcode, and select the Confirm key.\n\n\nSelect Moto payment.\nEnter an amount and confirm.\nFollow the instructions on the display to enter the shopper's card number and CVC code. The terminal may also ask you to enter the shopper's postal code (zip code) and house number.\n\nThe transaction then follows the normal flow.\nCashback\nThe cashback feature lets shoppers get cash in hand from their account when making a purchase.\n\nIssuing a cashback without a purchase, often called cashout, is currently not supported on standalone payment terminals.\n\nTo issue a cashback:\n\n\nSelect Transactions &gt; New transaction.\n\n\nEnter your Transactions passcode, and select Continue.\n\nOn non-Android terminals that use the old menu structure:\n\nSelect 8 and then the Confirm key  (on legacy models, it is Confirm and then 8.).\nEnter your Transactions passcode, and select the Confirm key.\n\n\n\n\nSelect Cashback.\n\n\nEnter the purchase amount and confirm to continue.\n\n\nEnter the cashback amount.\n\n\nFollow the instructions on the display to enter the shopper's card number and CVC code.\n\n\nThe transaction then follows the normal flow.\nTipping\nIf our Support Team has enabled tipping for your account, the terminal will prompt for a tip with every payment that you initiate.\n\nStart the payment and enter the transaction value as usual.\nThe terminal shows a message asking the shopper whether they want to add a tip.\nHand the terminal to the shopper, so they can select a tipping option, enter an amount, or decline giving a tip.\nThe transaction then follows the normal flow, and the shopper follows the instructions on the terminal to complete the payment.\n\nCancel an in-progress payment\nBefore a payment has finished processing you can try to cancel it:\n\nSelect the Cancel key  on the terminal keypad.\nOr on an Android terminal, select the Cancel key  on the display.\n\nIf your cancel attempt is successful, the terminal shows a Cancelled message on the display.\n\nIf the cancel attempt failed (and the payment was approved), you will need to issue a refund.\n\nRefund a payment\nThere are two types of refund you can make from a standalone terminal:\n\nReferenced refunds are connected to the original purchase.\nUnreferenced refunds can be made to any card and for any amount.\n\nReferenced refunds offer the following advantages over unreferenced refunds:\n\nLower risk of return fraud: a payment cannot be refunded multiple times.\nLower risk of human error: store staff cannot enter the wrong refund amount on the terminal.\nSupport for QR code payment methods, such as Alipay and WeChat Pay, which do not allow unreferenced refunds.\n\nWhen a refund has been processed, it is deducted from your in-process funds and will appear in your shopper's account within a few days.\nMake a referenced refund\nTo make a referenced refund:\n\n\nSelect Transactions &gt; History, enter your Transactions passcode, and select Continue.\n\nOn non-Android terminals that use the old menu structure, go toAdmin &amp; Settings menu and select Transactions.\n\n\n\nSelect the transaction you want to refund.\n\n\nSelect the action to void (refund) the transaction.\n\n\nThe terminal prints a receipt for the refund.\nIf successful, the refund is issued directly to the shopper's account.\nMake an unreferenced refund\nTo make an unreferenced refund:\n\n\nSelect Transactions &gt; New transaction\n\n\nEnter your Transactions passcode and select Continue.\n\nOn non-Android terminals that use the old menu structure:\n\nSelect 8 and then the Confirm key  (on legacy models, it is Confirm and then 8.).\nEnter your Transactions passcode and select the Confirm key.\n\n\n\n\nSelect Refund or MOTO refund.\n\n\nIf the terminal asks for a passcode, enter your 6-digit Refunds passcode and select the Confirm key or Continue.\n\nIf you enter an incorrect passcode three times, you have to wait for 30 seconds before you try again.\n\n\n\nEnter the value of the refund and confirm.\n\n\nComplete the refund:\n\nFor a regular Refund, the shopper presents the card to the terminal and follows the instructions on the terminal to complete the refund.\nFor a MOTO refund, you manually enter the Card number, Expiry date, and CVC.\nThe terminal shows a success screen. In case of a regular Refund, the terminal prints a receipt.\n\n\n\nYou can find the details of refunds in your Customer Area, under History &gt; Payments.\nUse gift cards and other stored value cards\nStored value cards are payment cards with a monetary value that is stored on the card itself instead of in a bank account. Examples are gift cards, mall cards, meal vouchers, and other prepaid cards.\nTo use a stored value card on a standalone terminal:\n\n\nSelect 8 and then the Confirm key  (on legacy models, it is Confirm and then 8.).\n\n\nEnter your Transactions passcode, and select the Confirm key.\n\n\nSelect Gift card.\n\n\nSelect the action you want to perform:\n\nRedeem: remove the transaction amount from a gift card.\nRedeem via MKE: use Manual key entry to remove transaction amount from a gift card.\nActivate: activate a gift card before the shopper can use the card for payment. You can activate the card with and without and amount.\nLoad: add funds to a gift card.\nBalance inquiry: check the funds remaining on the gift card. It is not possible to cancel this action.\nCashout: take funds off the gift card and give this back to the shopper as cash.\n\nStandalone gift card payments only allow a full cash out of the gift card funds.\n\n\n\n\nFollow the instructions on the display.\n\n\nThe transaction then follows the normal flow of the chosen gift card action.\nView, print, and reset totals\nThe terminal can generate a Totals report. This gives an overview of the total amounts for sales, refunds, gratuities (tips), and cancellations that the terminal processed since the last reset. By resetting the report, you can use this functionality to get day totals or shift totals.\nTo obtain the Totals report:\n\n\nSelect Transactions.\n\nOn non-Android terminals that use the old menu structure, open the Admin menu.\n\n\n\nSelect Totals.\n\n\nYou can now:\n\nView a Totals report for the period shown at the top of the report.\nPrint the Totals report.\nStart a new reporting period by selecting the reset button .\n\nOn a non-Android terminal that uses the old menu structure, select Reset &gt; Yes.\n\n\nThe totals from the previous period are no longer shown.
