Contrary to most other terminals, you always need to assign an unattended terminal to a store before boarding the terminal.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Assign the terminal to your store <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/managing-terminals\/assign-terminals#step-1-pre-assign-the-terminal-to-a-store\">using your Customer Area<\/a> or <a href=\"\/pt\/point-of-sale\/automating-terminal-management\/assign-terminals-api\">using API calls<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sc-notice info\"><div>\n<p>In the procedure, use the serial number of the controller unit. Verifique se faltam veda\u00e7\u00f5es ou parafusos, fios ou etiquetas adicionais, orif\u00edcios no dispositivo e qualquer coisa inserida ou conectada a qualquer parte do terminal, como o leitor de cart\u00f5es ou as portas.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"install\">Install the terminal<\/h2>\n<p>Apart from the supplied components, you will need at least:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8 bolts, washers, and nuts to secure the clamping plate and the controller unit inside your self-service machine.<\/li>\n<li>Installation instructions form the manufacturer of your self-service machine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Proceed as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Mount the NFC-reader to the front of the installation panel.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Remove the protective film from the back of the NFC-reader.<\/li>\n<li>Place the stud bolts of the NFC-reader through the holes in the front of the installation panel.<\/li>\n<li>At the back of the installation panel, place the flat side of the clamping plate over the stud bolts.<\/li>\n<li>Secure the NFC-reader using the four supplied M4 washers and nuts to a torque of 0.7 Nm.<\/li>\n<li>Secure the clamping plate to the installation panel.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Remove the protective film from the front of the NFC-reader.<\/p>\n<!-- list separator -->\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Secure the controller unit inside the self-service machine near the NFC reader, using 4 bolts, washers, and nuts to a torque of 0.7 Nm.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sc-notice note\"><div>\n<p>Do not install the controller unit inside a chassis that can be removed from the self-service machine.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Connect the NFC reader to the controller unit.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Connect the SMA (RF) cable to the back of the NFC-reader and to the <span translate=\"no\"><strong>RF<\/strong><\/span> port on the bottom of the control unit.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Connect the RJ45 cable to the back of the NFC-reader and to the <span translate=\"no\"><strong>COMM<\/strong><\/span> port on the bottom of the control unit. Do not use the <span translate=\"no\"><strong>COM1<\/strong><\/span> port.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sc-notice note\"><div>\n<p>The <span translate=\"no\"><strong>RF<\/strong><\/span> port and the <span translate=\"no\"><strong>COMM<\/strong><\/span> port are located next to each other on the bottom of the control unit, and are marked <span translate=\"no\"><strong>ANT<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Connect an Ethernet cable between the <span translate=\"no\"><strong>LAN<\/strong><\/span> port on the controller unit and your network.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sc-notice note\"><div>\n<p>Only connect a regular Ethernet cable to the <span translate=\"no\"><strong>LAN<\/strong><\/span> port. Using any other type of cable or another port, such as the <span translate=\"no\"><strong>COM1<\/strong><\/span> RS232 port, might severely damage the device.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Connect the power cord between the <span translate=\"no\"><strong>DC IN<\/strong><\/span> port on the controller unit and a power supply unit in the self-service machine or an external power source.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The controller beeps. After approximately a minute, a green light and an amber light on the <span translate=\"no\"><strong>LAN<\/strong><\/span> port turn on. The terminal starts boarding.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"boarding\">Monitor the boarding process<\/h2>\n<p>When you finish the installation, the UX terminal starts up, connects to the network, and boards itself to your store. The LEDs indicate the steps in this process.<\/p>\n<p>The steps may go too fast to follow. Remember that the terminal can only board if it is <a href=\"#assign\">assigned to your store<\/a>.<br \/>\nAfter ten retries, the terminal stops trying to board. You cannot tell it has stopped trying; LED 3 continues to blink and LED 4 remains on. You can trigger the boarding process again by disconnecting the controller unit from the power source, and then connecting it again.<\/p>\n<h2>Other LED signals<\/h2>\n<p>During the <a href=\"#boarding\">boarding process<\/a>, the LEDs indicate the progress. There are various other events and situations that are also indicated with LED signals. Do not use the COM1 port.\n\nThe RF port and the COMM port are located next to each other on the bottom of the control unit, and are marked ANT.\n\n\n\n\n\nConnect an Ethernet cable between the LAN port on the controller unit and your network.\n\nOnly connect a regular Ethernet cable to the LAN port. Using any other type of cable or another port, such as the COM1 RS232 port, might severely damage the device.\n\n\n\nConnect the power cord between the DC IN port on the controller unit and a power supply unit in the self-service machine or an external power source.\n\n\nThe controller beeps. After approximately a minute, a green light and an amber light on the LAN port turn on. The terminal starts boarding.\nMonitor the boarding process\nWhen you finish the installation, the UX terminal starts up, connects to the network, and boards itself to your store. The LEDs indicate the steps in this process.\nThe steps may go too fast to follow. You cannot tell it has stopped trying; LED 3 continues to blink and LED 4 remains on. You can trigger the boarding process again by disconnecting the controller unit from the power source, and then connecting it again.\nOther LED signals\nDuring the boarding process, the LEDs indicate the progress. There are various other events and situations that are also indicated with LED signals.
