{"title":"Settings","category":"default","creationDate":1683291420,"content":"<p>You can configure Pay by Link settings in your <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-test.adyen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">Customer Area<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Requirements<\/h2>\n<p>You must have one of the following <a href=\"\/pt\/account\/user-roles#account\">user roles<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Merchant admin<\/li>\n<li>Pay by Link Settings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can configure:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#general-settings\">General settings<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#creation-settings\">Creation settings<\/a>: customize the options available for creating payment links.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"general-settings\">General settings<\/h2>\n<p>To configure general Pay by Link settings, log in to your <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-test.adyen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">Customer Area<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <strong>Pay by Link<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>General<\/strong> tab at the top of the page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You can configure the following types of settings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Legal: specify the URL to the page with your terms and conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Email updates: configure getting updates about your payment link in your email.<\/li>\n<li>Credit card: settings for credit cards.<\/li>\n<li>Tokenization: configure if you <a href=\"\/pt\/unified-commerce\/pay-by-link\/create-payment-links\/customer-area#tokenize-payment-details-customer-area\">tokenize shopper's payment details<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"creation-settings\">Creation settings<\/h2>\n<p>You can define the options that are available when <a href=\"\/pt\/unified-commerce\/pay-by-link\/create-payment-links\/customer-area#create\">creating a payment link<\/a> through your Customer Area.<\/p>\n<p>For example, you can configure creation settings so that an employee in your shop can only create a payment link that is available for 48 hours, accepts payments in EUR, requires a payment description, and requires the employee to enter the shopper's email address when creating the payment link.<\/p>\n<p>In your <a href=\"https:\/\/ca-test.adyen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"external-link no-image\">Customer Area<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <strong>Pay by Link<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>Creation<\/strong> tab at the top of the page.<\/li>\n<li>Select settings for the mandatory, additional, and shopper detail fields.<br \/>\nSee the following sections for an explanation of the fields.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Mandatory fields<\/h3>\n<p>Settings for required information when creating a payment link:<\/p>\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th>Field<\/th>\n<th>Description<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Available currencies<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Select the payment currencies to accept.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Link type<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>How many times the payment link can be used to make a payment.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Link validity<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>How long the payment link can be used before it expires.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h3>Additional fields<\/h3>\n<p>Settings for optional fields you can include when creating payment links:<\/p>\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th>Field<\/th>\n<th>Description<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Store field<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Select if payment links show the physical store for which the payment is processed.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Shopper reference<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Select if payment links show the input field to enter a unique identifier for the shopper. Collect the shopper reference if you are tokenizing the shopper's payment details for recurring payments.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Payment description<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Select if payment links can include a description of the payment that shows up in the payment link.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Shopper country\/region<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Select which shopper countries\/regions are available to select in payment links.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Service date<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Select if payment links show the input field to select a delivery, event, service, or check-in date.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Email service<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Select if employees can automatically send an email containing a payment link to shoppers when they create a payment link.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h3>Shopper detail fields<\/h3>\n<p>Set options for the fields that ask for the shopper's personal information. You can select what's required for each field when creating the payment link.
