href=\"https:\/\/docs.adyen.com\/api-explorer\/Disputes\/latest\/post\/retrieveApplicableDefenseReasons\" class=\"codeLabel  external-link no-image\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">\/retrieveApplicableDefenseReasons<\/a> request for a specific dispute, the <code>defenseReasons<\/code> object in the response contains:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"#dispute-defense-reason-code\">defense reason codes<\/a> that are specified by the scheme regulations, and if the defense material for that reason code has already been supplied. Use these codes to find more information about the dispute, for example why it was raised.<\/li>\n<li>The corresponding <a href=\"#dispute-defense-document-type-code\">defense document type codes<\/a> for each defense reason code, if those document types are required, and if the documents are already supplied.
