Intelligent Money Movement (IMM) is Adyen's cash management solution for enterprises. With IMM, you can combine payment processing with the enterprise financial features provided by Adyen's balance platform. This combination allows you to manage and optimize the full lifecycle of your business funds within your Adyen ecosystem.
IMM allows you to:
- Manage incoming funds form multiple sources, such as processed payments, third-party bank transfers, or your verified bank account.
- Store and manage funds using enterprise accounts with financial capabilities.
- Make payouts to third-party bank accounts or cards, or your verified bank account.
- Make payments using Adyen-issued debit cards.
Flow of funds
When using IMM, the flow of funds is as follows:
- Adyen processes online and in-person purchases for your business.
- The funds from these purchases are settled in your merchant account.
- The funds on your merchant account are transferred to your balance account in your balance platform.
- After the funds are settled in your balance account, you can:
- Use your enterprise account to send funds to third-party bank accounts or cards.
- Use Adyen-issued cards to make payments to counterparty merchants.
- When needed, you can add funds to your enterprise account using a verified or third-party bank account.
