Adyen for Platforms - Managed model

Onboard users of your platform, process payments for them, and pay out their funds.

Adyen for Platform's Managed model is our out-of-the-box solution for SaaS platforms that enables your users to accept local and global payment methods, authorize transactions, and simplify operations with a single payments partner. Your users are onboarded directly onto your payment solution, while you set the pricing for the payment services, invoices, provide support, and take on the scheme liability. Adyen takes on the financial liability.

With the managed model, you can:

  • Get your users started quickly by simplifying your payment setup, eliminating the need for separate contracts, plugins, or third-party integrations.
  • Streamline your business operations.
  • Integrate payment features into your platform's control panel or use our out-of-the-box solution, Essentials.
  • Optimize checkout, fraud protection, and conversion procedures.

In our managed model, you can give your users access to Essentials, Adyen's online dashboard. The dashboard enables them to manage their account and perform day-to-day business activities. For information about Essentials, you can go to the Essentials documentation. Do not share this documentation link with your users, as the managed model is a white-label solution. You can, however, share the content of the documentation.

Onboard and verify your users

Let your users sign up to your platform, then onboard and verify them with a flexible and layered onboarding process. To onboard and start the verification, your users must provide information to Adyen.

You can choose how to onboard your users: using the onboarding interface in Essentials, creating a link to Adyen's hosted onboarding page, or building your own UI and collecting the information yourself.

Process payments

Determine the sales channel through which your users want to accept payments. You can set up your merchant accounts to be able to process online payments, in-person payments, or both using our omnichannel unified commerce solution.

You can offer your users a full range of payment methods, including all major card schemes and mobile wallets, such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. We also support local payment methods like iDEAL in the Netherlands.

Pay out and transfer funds

Schedule the payouts to your user's bank account.

You can use transfer funds between merchant accounts that belong to the same legal entity, or between your and your user's merchant accounts.

Reconcile transactions using reports

To ensure accurate accounting of funds within your platform, you can use Adyen-generated reports for your bookkeeping and reconciliation processes. There are several reports that you can use, and depending on what you want to achieve, you can use one or a combination of reports.
