If you have an existing Android Components integration, you can use our Redirect Component to redirect the shopper to the MoMo app or website where they can complete the payment.
When making an MoMo payment, you need to:
Before you begin
This page explains how to add MoMo to your existing Android Components integration. The Android Components integration works the same way for all payment methods. If you haven't done this integration yet, refer to our Components integration guide.
Before starting your MoMo integration:
- Make sure that you have set up your back end implementation for making API requests.
- Add MoMo in your test Customer Area.
Show MoMo in your payment form
Include MoMo in the list of available payment methods. You don't need to collect any information from the shopper in your payment form.
-
Specify in your /paymentMethods request:
- countryCode: VN
- amount.currency: VND
- amount.value: The value of the payment.
The response contains
paymentMethod.type
: momo_wallet.
We provide logos for MoMo which you can use on your payment form. For more information, refer to Downloading logos.
Make a payment
When the shopper proceeds to pay, you need to:
-
From your server, make a /payments request, specifying:
paymentMethod.type
: Set this to momo_wallet.returnUrl
: URL to where the shopper should be redirected back to after they complete the payment. Get this URL from the Component in theRedirectComponent.getReturnUrl(context)
.
curl https://checkout-test.adyen.com/v68/payments \ -H "x-API-key: YOUR_X-API-KEY" \ -H "content-type: application/json" \ -d '{ "merchantAccount":"YOUR_MERCHANT_ACCOUNT", "reference":"YOUR_ORDER_NUMBER", "amount":{ "currency":"VND", "value":1000 }, "{hint:paymentComponentState.data.paymentMethod from app}paymentMethod{/hint}":{ "type":"momo_wallet" }, "returnUrl":"adyencheckout://your.package.name" }'

Test and go live
To make MoMo payments in the test environment:
- Download the MoMo test app for iOS or Android at https://test-payment.momo.vn/download/. If you're testing on a mobile browser, you see a link to download the test app. If you're testing on a desktop browser, use the test app to scan the QR code.
- Use MoMo's test credentials to log in to the test app. MoMo provides different credentials depending on the scenario that you want to test (for example, failed scenarios).
Check the status of MoMo test payments in your Customer Area > Transactions > Payments.
Before you can accept live MoMo payments, you need to submit a request for MoMo in your live Customer Area.
