Bancontact is the most popular payment method in Belgium, and the market leader for both online and in-person transactions.
With Bancontact mobile, the shopper completes the payment using the Payconiq by Bancontact mobile app or another bank app that supports Bancontact mobile, installed on their mobile device. The shopper is redirected to the app either directly on their mobile device, or by scanning a QR code on Desktop.
You can also accept payments using the Bancontact card.
