Update to support the new Visa root certificate

Continue supporting the 3D Secure 2 challenge flow on mobile integrations.

Starting 1 February 2022, Access Control Servers (ACS) will use the new Visa root certificate. This certificate is used in the 3D Secure 2 challenge flow.

To continue supporting the 3D Secure 2 challenge flow on mobile, your integration must have access to the new Visa root certificate.

What you need to do

Depending on your mobile integration, you need to update to a version that has the new Visa root certificate.

To stay up to date with the latest release, subscribe to release notifications for the GitHub repository corresponding to your integration type.

Drop-in or Components integration

Platform Versions containing the new Visa root certificate
Android 4.3.0 and later.
iOS 3.9.0, 3.9.1, 4.4.0 and later.
Versions 4.0.0 to 4.3.0 do not contain the new Visa root certificate.

If you cannot update

If you cannot update before the new Visa root certificate starts being used, your transactions will be redirected to a 3D Secure 2 browser flow. This flow is similar to a 3D Secure 1 redirect, so you do not need to make any changes if your integration supports 3D Secure 1.
