User roles are sets of permissions that determine what a user can do in your Customer Area. When your Adyen contact sets up your Balance Platform, you receive an admin user account, which has all the roles that are available in your platform. You can use the admin user to create more users and assign them roles.
The admin user can only give out roles that they themselves have. This prevents users from giving out unwarranted permissions, thus helping to keep your account safe.
If you want additional roles in your platform, request them from your Adyen contact.

General
The following roles allow you to create and manage platform resources in your Customer Area:
