Kiosk mode

Enable kiosk mode from your Customer Area.

Kiosk mode is intended for payment terminals in unattended environments, such as next to a vending machine, token dispenser, or parking payment systems. It allows you to hide the navigation bar, settings, and transaction buttons at the bottom of the screen to prevent customers from using them to change or minimize the default app, or to power off the terminal.

Requirements

Before you begin, take into account the following preparation.

Requirement Description
Customer Area roles To enable kiosk mode from the Customer Area, you need the following roles:
  • Merchant POS Terminal Management Admin for configurations at any levels.
  • Merchant POS Terminal Management for configurations at merchant-level (and lower).
Hardware One of the following payment terminal models: AMS1, S1E2L, S1E, S1F2, or S1U2.

Enable kiosk mode

You can set a default Android app that you uploaded for customer interaction.

To enable kiosk mode:

  1. Log in to your Customer Area.
  2. Go to In-person payments > Terminal settings > Customization > Kiosk mode.
  3. Enable Hide navigation bar.
  4. Set a default App upon terminal start for your customers to interact with.
  5. Optionally, select other apps from Allowed apps in Kiosk mode.
  6. Go to Home screen > Settings and Transactions menus, select Hide.
  7. Select Save.
