Release notes - iOS 1.20

New functionality

Example application

The iOS library package now includes the AdyenPOSExample application. This application implements key features of the Adyen iOS library.

Alipay transactions

Alipay payments can be initiated directly from the Cash register application. For this, two flows are possible:

Cash register initiates the Alipay transaction

  1. Initiate the Alipay transaction on the Cash register.
  2. The Alipay QR code is shown on the terminal.
  3. The shopper needs to scan the QR code and to initiate the payment from their Alipay application.
  4. The terminal shows the result of the payment (APPROVED, DECLINED, CANCELLED).

Cash register scans the shopper barcode

  1. Initiate Alipay transaction on the Cash register.
  2. Scan the shopper barcode from the Alipay app.
  3. The shopper may need to enter their pass code.
  4. The terminal shows the result from the payment (APPROVED, DECLINED, CANCELLED).

This functionality also requires you to update the terminal software.
