We're pleased to announce a new family of libraries and support features to integrate with our payment terminals. The libraries, COM for Windows, Java Native Interface and C, are built on the same core application. This allows merchants operating on Windows, Linux, or OSX based POS systems to integrate with Adyen's payment terminals. The updated libraries also work with all Adyen's mobile and countertop PIN entry devices.
New features
New cancel or refund call
A new Cancel Or Refund On Terminal call allows you to cancel or refund a transaction from the terminal transaction list, and receive a receipt on the POS or on the PED. This functionality is limited to:
- Transactions that have been completed on the PED that is receiving the cancel or refund request.
- Transactions that are still within the PED storage – this is currently limited to 100 tenders.
To learn how to use this feature, see these instructions:
- C Library: Refund a transaction from the PED
- COM extension: Refund a transaction from the PED
- JNI: Refund a completed transaction
Improved features
- TxStore is extended with a flag for voided transactions. This allows you to check whether the transaction was voided, without looking at the receipt data.
- We improved serial communications.
- We now handle Bluetooth network disconnects in a more robust manner.
Known issues
- If the new Cancel Or Refund On Terminal call returns an error, the
PSPreferenceand/ortenderReferenceare not populated.
