This message alerts you to the fact that the terminal is not yet ready to accept payments because it hasn't been boarded yet.
- Follow the instructions in Board the terminal.
Solution for "Unable to start setup"
In most cases, this message indicates your account configuration needs to be updated.
- Contact Support and ask them to enable self-boarding or auto-setup for your account. That should solve the problem not only for this terminal, but for all your terminals.
In the meantime, you can choose to manually board the terminal as follows:
- On the terminal, open the Admin menu.
- Select Config > Board > OTP.
- Enter the one-time password for your terminal.
