KCP Direct Card Capture

Korea Cyber Payment (KCP) is a payment services provider that accepts all cards issued in South Korea, including single-branded and co-branded cards.

KCP Direct Card Capture lets merchants collect Korean card details directly on their checkout page using the Adyen card component. The component renders two extra fields required by KCP and Korean card issuers:

• Cardholder birthdate (private cards) or corporate registration number (corporate cards)
• First 2 digits of card password

These fields are a KCP and issuer mandate. Without them, transactions will be flagged and the merchant MID risks termination. The requirement applies to all Korean-issued cards - not only domestic scheme cards, but also co-branded Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Diners, and UnionPay cards issued in Korea.
